Got some old BA 100's from my basement and got it all set up. Sounds awesome for like 10 mins and then this start to sound weird. Take off the front panel and see this.
I haz sad. Don’t think I can salvage this...

simplyspeakers.com
parts-express.com also sells surround repair/replacement kits. I did an old M&K 12" sub of mine with a simplyspeakers kit to great success.

Throw some new speakers in it.

Maybe you can fix them. These things exist.

Totally salvageable. You can get new foam surrounds, or better yet, get new drivers and slap them in there!

I think there are speaker surround repair/replace kits. Might be worth checking out.

replacing drivers isn’t straight forward. You really need to know the electrical and physical specs of the originals to get class-a results. Finding something that fits is easy, but even if you get expensive replacement drivers performance is not guaranteed unless they are at least close to the right fit for the box and crossover electronics. Foam replacement is much simpler in many cases, especially older speakers that may be poorly documented.

My parents have an M&K 12" that's pushing 25 years old in original condition. Still sounds fantastic.

great subs! The cabinets are so well built, and the amplification is high quality. Very musical, while still hitting hard. I would have to pay *way* to much for a modern sub that performs as well.

Agree. My Paradigm that's 15 years newer can't touch it.

Refoams are a piece of cake. Clean it up, cut the dust cap, shim the coil, glue in the new foam and let it set. Re-glue the cap and you’re good to go after a brief break-in period.
